I was contacted last year to provide a cover for the new printing of the Louis L’Amour book The Man From Skibereen.
When the photographer shows up it’s all work and no play.
Mrs. Ramberg showing her sculpted bird collection. A bevy of birds that, at one time or another during the year, arrive or live in Kansas. Taken for Lawrence Magazine Spring ’11.
Not THE bank vault, just the safety deposit boxes. Apparently no photographs of the real vault.
Great holiday cakes. First is a panforte spice cake, then the Bourbon Walnut fruitcake. Great taste and a pretty good buzz from this high octane holiday cake.
Shot before a game, teams warming up. Had the ref (J.D. Clevinger) stand a few different ways, then toss the ball for a few shots. In typical fashion, after some seemingly ridiculous hoop jumping, I got the feeling this guy was done with me. He held in there though and we got this great shot, one of my favorites.
Players of the Topeka Santa Fe Band play the classic marches. Simple three light set up at the practice space using the only small amount of bare wall available.
Pip Taylor, Australian triathlete in Kansas. Shot for Lawrence Magazine at Clinton Lake. Just a couple portable lights just about blowing their circuits to keep up.
